The following parts will need to be changed over in order to rehand your Meditek stairlift.

CHARGE PIN When rehanding a Meditek stairlift, the charge pin will be on the other side of the footrest. The charge pin can be changed by removing two 5 mm allen bolts that hold the charge pin in place. Remove the harness from the main pcb and change the charge pin to the other side of the chassie. IMPORTANT D160 uses a standard charge pin, which can be used on the left or right side, but you will need a different charge pin for the E120 Model. where as they are not the same size. FOOTREST The footrest will have to be changed to the corresponding side when rehanding. This can be done by removing the three 8 mm allen bolts attaching the footrest to the chassie and removing the wiring for the foot rest from the main board and replacing on the other side of the chassie. FOOTREST

FOOTREST WIRES The footrest wires are visible once the footrest cover is removed by four screws. The up and down wires inside the footrest have to be swapped to the opposite side. up wire color / blue and yellow.  Down wire color /  red and green. change accordingly. SEAT SWITCH The seat switch is located on the seat post  and has two white wires running to it from the main PCB. This switch will have to be changed to the opposite side with the two little screws. (picture above with seat removed from chassie)

SEAT POST ON SEAT The seat post is the metal part that attaches the seat to the chassie. Their are four hex bolts 5 mm holding this post onto the seat frame . The spring post has a bolt of 13 mm attached to a rotating handle which consists of two hex bolts 4 mm. The post assembly will need to be changed to the corresponding side. SEAT POST ON SEAT

The seat post is the metal part that attaches the seat to the chassie. Their are four hex bolts 5 mm holding this post onto the seat frame . The spring post has a bolt of 13 mm attached to a rotating handle which consists of two hex bolts 4 mm. The post assembly will need to be changed to the corresponding side.

TOGGLE WIRES These wires are connected to the toggle switch inside the arm of the seat. these can be accessed by removing two screws holding the plastic arm together. once inside  the green and yellow wires need to be swapped that are connected to the toggle switch. This will change direction of the toggle switch. (picture above with armrest cover apart)

Testing

Make sure the stairlift works properly before installing. Toggle the lift up and activate the up safety switches on the chassie and the foot rest. And then test the down side safety switches as well.
